Maybe the`ll put the photographers across the freeway this time.....bring your 600mm lenses.

Geeezzzz.....in 1993 i was virtually next to the helos as they taxied in. Each year got more silly.....

Good show for the public but the photograpers are treated like crap.....its easier to go where the helos live.

I just got a 2x extender, should be great with my 400mm, manual focus though Huh?

Im going to talk to Jim Paules about the photography thing.....they need to realize good pics from a good location only helps them....and the show.

Sweet. I have never been, but I hear anything can help. Not to many people happy with where they put the photogs Sad

Doubt the letter will make much difference...  They penned us up off to the north of the landing zone.  it is not that bad of a location, but would prefer to be able to move around a bit more...

I just faxed my a this morning and will check for confirmation later at home.

Has anyone made the suggestion for departures to move the flags from the middle (gate area) further to the left and the right to have a more un-obstructed view as they lift off?  I know Ralph Duenas from FC talked about that and not sure if more if us make the suggestion if Jim would take it in consideration.

Sounds to me like this "Air Show" is "anti photographer". Can't you just be a general attendee, bring in your camera and shoot from anywhere, or will their Photographer Police pick you upand drop you in thr Photog Area?

I have only gone to that air show one time, which was last year. Last year that I attended was pretty cool, a 400mm would have helped so much though.  Wink    APSC Sign
